Did Constantine Rewire Christianity?

Christianity as we know it today did NOT begin with Jesus.
It was reshaped, edited, filtered, and politicized by one man: Emperor Constantine, the architect of imperial religion.

Here is the truth they never want Africans to question:

325 AD — THE COUNCIL OF NICAEA
Constantine gathers bishops and for the first time in history creates a unified Roman-approved Christianity.
This was not about faith.
It was about imperial control, unity, and power.
This is the birth of State Christianity.

327 AD — THE LATIN BIBLE (THE VULGATE)
Jerome is ordered by Constantine to translate the scriptures into Latin.
This translation modified names, altered meanings, and shaped doctrine to fit Roman ideology.
From this point, the Bible becomes a political tool.

AFTER CONSTANTINE: 1500 YEARS OF EDITS, ADDITIONS AND INVENTIONS

431 — Cult of the Virgin Mary introduced
Not part of original early Christianity.

594 — Purgatory invented
Never found in original texts.

610 — The title “Pope” established

788 — Pagan rituals absorbed into Christianity
Feasts, saints, holidays.

995 — “Holiness” redefined
The Hebrew word Kadosh is distorted.

1079 — Priests banned from marriage
A man-made rule.

1090 — Rosary introduced

1184 — Inquisition begins
State-sanctioned religious persecution.

1190 — Selling of Indulgences
Pay for forgiveness.

1215 — Mandatory confession develops

1216 — Transubstantiation declared
Bread literally becoming flesh.

1311 — Baptism ritual standardized

1439 — Purgatory becomes official dogma

1854 — Immaculate Conception created
A brand-new doctrine.

1870 — Papal Infallibility declared
A late and radical invention.

THE LUCIFER DECEPTION

The idea that Devil equals Lucifer is not in the original Hebrew text.

The word Lucifer appears only once in the Latin Vulgate in Isaiah 14:12 and refers to the King of Babylon, a tyrant, not Satan and not a fallen angel.

Between 400–600 AD, church scholars merged
Lucifer
Satan
The Eden serpent
The dragon in Revelation
into one character to create a more dramatic theology.

This was interpretation, not scripture.

THE TRUTH

Christianity was not simply received.
It was constructed, reconstructed, revised, and reinvented.
Thousands of doctrines were added across centuries, many for political, imperial, and economic reasons.

Knowing this does not destroy faith.
It exposes history and empowers Africans to question the versions we inherited through colonial systems.
