Barclayville, Grand Kru County – Grand Kru County is busy making things better for its people, at least, that’s according to the local government, which recently shared plans for many new projects. These projects will cost about $186,000. This money comes from the County Development Fund, which is money set aside to help the county grow.

One important project, they say, is fixing up the Superintendent’s home and the Barclayville City Hall. These buildings are important for how the county is run.
Also, a new health center called the Norkia Clinic in Jora should now be completed. The completion of this clinic is expected to ease trhe growing health care needs of people in that area.
The county is also expected to construct 8 new hand pump to provide safe drinking water for several communities. They are also fixing 16 other hand pumps that were broken. This means more people will have safe water to drink and use.
Getting around the county would also become easier. The county is working to fix roads that connect farms to markets. This means farmers can more easily take their crops to sell, which helps them and the county’s economy. Two main roads being worked on are the Buah-to-Greenville road and the Buah-to-Kaweanken road.
Skeptics however take these pronouncements with a pinch of salt, sighting past bad leadership at the highest level of the county.
