Samsung Defies Folding Limits with New 10-Inch Galaxy Z TriFold

SEOUL – Samsung Electronics has officially entered a new era of mobile hardware with the launch of the Galaxy Z TriFold, a dual-hinged device that transforms from a pocketable smartphone into a massive 10-inch tablet.First debuted in South Korea in late 2025 and recently showcased at CES 2026, the TriFold is designed to bridge the gap between traditional foldables and full-scale workstations. Engineering the triple threat the device’s centerpiece is a 10-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display.

To manage the complex folding mechanism, Samsung utilizes two “Armor FlexHinges” with a dual-rail structure, allowing the device to fold into a 12.9mm profile or unfold to a razor-thin 3.9mm. When closed, a 6.5-inch cover screen provides a standard smartphone experience.

Desktop Power in Your Pocket under the hood, Samsung has packed flagship-level internals to support the massive screen real estate:Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy.Memory: 16GB of RAM.Multitasking: Support for three simultaneous apps and native Samsung DeX integration.

To combat durability concerns often associated with foldables, the TriFold features a titanium hinge housing, an Advanced Armor Aluminum frame, and a reinforced shock-absorbing display layer.

Pricing and global RolloutWhile the device is currently available in South Korea for approximately $2,500, a global rollout is imminent. U.S. consumers can expect a release in early 2026, with hands-on demos already appearing at select Samsung Experience Stores.
